ATCN课程在北州举行
On February 28th, 上州立大学医院 conducted an Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) 
course. The course is an advanced course designed for registered nurses to increase their knowledge in the management of the mulitple trauma patient. Attendees included RN's from Fort Drum, 撒玛利亚医疗中心, UHS Wilson Regional Medical Center and Upstate.
Trauma Resuscitation Course Held at Oneida Healthcare
On February 22nd a Trauma Rescucitation Course was held at Oneida Healtchare. Attendees included physicians and nurses from their Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit and Operating Room. Course content included initial patient assessment, stabilization and transfer to a trauma center. 参加课程的学员可获得3美元.8 hours of nursing continuing education credit.
外科 - Establishes 威廉·马克思, Endowed Lecture in Trauma Surgery
The Upstate 外科 has established the 威廉·马克思, Endowed Lecture in Trauma Surgery at the Upstate Foundation to honor and perpetuate Dr. Marx’s legacy at 上州医科大学.
The endowed lecture will provide funding for a visiting professor and nationally known trauma surgeon to visit Upstate, give a lecture on care of the injured patient, and support career development of residents/faculty as trauma surgeons.

Dr. Roseanna Guzman-Curtis Named Interim Trauma Program Medical Director
Guzman-Curtis博士获得了她的M.P.H. from the University of Pittsburgh and her MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Following General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care residencies at the University of Rochester, she joined the faculty at Upstate in 2016.

A New York bill allowing air ambulances to carry blood for emergency transfusion was signed into law. The measure is a crucial step toward saving lives.

The New York State Division of the American Trauma Society is dedicated to reducing disability and death due to traumatic injury.
The New York State Division of the American Trauma Society works in conjunction with trauma centers, local government and American Trauma Society members to provide injury prevention, education and public awareness programs throughout the State.

Otencia Hanley - Joins Staff as Registrar
Otencia was born and raised on the tropical twin island federation of St Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean.
